I peeled an orange for my son, Braden and put it on a plate for him on the kitchen table while he was on the couch watching TV. Then I told him, “Braden, there is an orange here with your name on it.” He got up off the couch very enthusiastically, and ran over to the table where the orange was. After a moment of looking very confused, he looked up and asked, “where is my name?”

My son Mason, 4 1/2, is very into Star Wars these days. Yesterday, the convo went like this:Mason: What's Obi Wan's name? Obi Wan Kenobi?Daddy: Very good, Mason, that's it!Mason: Well, what's Obi Two's name?
When my son was 4 he went to AWANA and memorized John 3:16. He had also been watching a great deal of National Geographic shows around this same time. He proudly told me he had a verse to share: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son. That whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have NOCTURNAL life." 🙂 We still laugh about this even 6 years later.
Our youngest daughter started kindergarten this year. Being a hyper child, we were interested to see how she would adapt to the structure school would bring. On day three, she had a dispute with three other children. At the end of the day we asked her how school was.She said, "I hit three kids today, but my teacher said she still loves me"!
I was sleeping a few weeks ago when my daughter Kylie came in and started to play with my hand. I thought if I kept still she'd realize I was still sleeping and go away. she started to raise my whole arm up and drop it, then shake my hand back and forth. She then got really close to me and said "mommy" and poked me. Then she said "I think she's dead". Then she did what all little girls do when they think their mommy is dead, she tried to take off my diamond ring. Ah…. diamonds really are a girls best friend aren't they?
